Why Work With Us

Award-Winning Expertise

Founded by Sophia Romma, Ph.D., Esq., recipient of the 2026 Huntington Her Hero Lifetime Achievement Award. Trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and Fordham Law School, Dr. Romma's creative work engages the intersection of cinematic expression and intellectual rigor, guided by a commitment to human narrative, justice, and enduring, daring artistic inquiry.

Multidisciplinary Vision

We stand at the intersection of image, performance, and justice—where documentary filmmaking, theatre, and international human rights law converge. Here, stories become living archives of truth: poetic, unflinching, and urgent. Each frame is a reckoning. Each narrative, a call to witness and a roaring plea for transformative action.

Global Perspective

Emerging from Russian Jewish, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Romani lineages, and in dialogue with African American, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and indigenous voices, our work reflects a layered comprehension of displacement, survival, and human resilience. Informed by Dr. Romma's leadership as Chair of the United Nations Committee of the New York City Bar Association, Sharp Frame Docs brings a nuanced cultural lens to tales of conflict, exile, and resilience.
